Gaia smiled at the gesture. ”I can take the top bunk… bottom bunks always gave me the willies,” she suggested. ”You dont mind if I take the closet closest to the door, do you?” she asked sheepishly. ”I’d rather not be near the window, if you get my meaning….”
She went to the empty desk and sat at the chair, pulling open the box. ”So… Vincent?? What’s your major?”
Nodding with an understanding look on his face, he even goes so far as to make the suggestion: “If you like, I could rig up some curtains, to be safe. Or perhaps you could go into the bathroom when you change clothes.” Crouching on the floor, he opens the largest of his boxes and pulls out a large floor rug made of strong green and yellow fibers, with dark green fringe. Placing it under his bed for now, he pulls out his sheets and tosses them atop his pillow before shoving the box next to the folded mat. “I’m…going to attempt to major in psychology. How about you?”
