‘I’m giving you lifetime advice, kid’. Alice bristled. She wasn’t a child, and she loathed being looked down on, particularly by someone who looked less than ten years her elder.“I’m not so petty I’ll hate someone for having a different view than my own,” Alice answered, bending down to select a rose.
But following me around and insulting me might get you there.
“Even so, I don’t see how I can have a very high opinion of someone who seems to worship destruction. Not that that seems to matter to you. Which makes me wonder why you’re lowering yourself to talk to me in the first place?”

Calmly, he shrugs. Perfect exterior, and none can tell him otherwise. But internally, he roils with his own dark humor. ’You’d be one of few, girl, mark my words.’
With her next expression, he pauses. No one in his right mind would worship the discord of society, of the world, of…death. That had not been his meaning. ”…Watch what opinions you draw of me, girl.“ His tone sharpens only the slightest bit, the small edge only a precursor to his anger at being accused of such. His body language does not change; only his voice incurs that hint of wrath, and then nothing. He returns to his state of neutrality, watching her as though he would rather not. ”…I speak to you…because you are the only normal thing here. You possess sanity; that much…is clear.“
