█{{✰}}██ Alright, if he was willing to allow her this choice then she would follow him knowing that it may help more than just her stumbling about in the dark. Coat flowing about before she jumped after, deciding that she was making a smart decision by going with the one that had found her in the first place. Being alone was not one of the wiser choices floating about given she knew little to nothing of this place. So she’d go after him, get her answers later on about this place if he would be so willing just as she had decided earlier on doing. Her need for a battle might give aid in his favor if the fates were willing to allow her to keep down her own inner demon in the form of a monster.
Even she needed to keep it down, when her desire had made it’s way to being known to her displeasure involving a battle. It’s more to keep herself in practice, not to shed blood because she enjoyed it; it’s her choice to fight and quite honestly she would rather it be beasts than people she has to face down as nice as fighting warriors is. Too much to lose if they were her targets and she didn’t feel like being memorized as the one that slaughtered a whole town due to that parasite in her. Not like how someone from her world would have enjoyed, would have liked to see knowing her choice to always lure in the shooter through some idea she held. For what reason, she really didn’t know nor wish to with how she behaved.
Her mind soon trailed from those thoughts, deciding again she really shouldn’t get lost in thought unless she felt like discovering the consequences to that choice. Just as children shouldn’t be found playing there, she came there willingly, not as a child attempting to play a game with the adults yet as someone who genuinely is lost. Perhaps he won’t mind the temporary companionship, she would leave when he wishes to tell her to do so, it was as simple as that.
For now however, there is one or rather two things she had dwelling in mind, what exactly was he about to do and where is he headed for in this place? It isn’t like she could wager a guess aside from keep up and listen if words were not his strong point either.
Besides, it was more time to stop thinking about other things and focus on what exactly they were about to do. She would, from what she figured, perform backup at a distance unless they get close enough. He might not wish to shoot around her and it seemed like the best idea to go with, knowing it might get irritating to deal with her attempts at close quarters.

Noting her, but not giving much of consequence to her presence, he continues on. Monster extermination is…fun. If she winds up in the way, well…too bad. His mood borders on very negative today, as the inner demons need to feed. And by the scent in the air, the den of other monsters is close by. Guard hounds are not the most intelligent of creatures, though rather territorial. The stench of excretion and carcasses proves his point. ’I am certainly not an animal, and I don’t like even being here. How…disgusting.‘ During his many months of cleaning Midgar, patterns have arisen, and he has dutifully taken note: guard hounds are the lowest beasts outdoors and the easiest to manipulate, which is likely the reason DeepGround chose them to act as decoys. It appears that though they could easily dismantle a human, other creatures of the wild were either smarter or stronger. Another conclusion is that the canines are like vultures, feeding off whatever is already dead; perfectly logical considering they remain inept after a leader is killed.
warning is in place for gore.
And…fortunately–they had physical aspects that supplied each superhuman need that he required for his…mental…g u e s t s. Sweat coats the body, running between each individual hair and collecting on the belly and under the ears and tail; bile is found once the hound is dead, stagnant in the abdomen; piss is found in the bowls after the bile has been broken; and there is minute but valuable poison in the tails of those excluded creatures. Each demon the gaunt houses within requires one of those for sheer sustenance.
How disturbing that he sees no problem with it now. Perhaps degrading into something sub-human has…eye-opening effects. Of course…he had been in the habit of taking the blood, too, but…that one had been sacrificed to the E n d, and Valentine’s own sanguine pulse with it.
Perhaps it is because he merely understands now, and so thus is the reason for his graceful acceptance. Each of his pets provides a different function of his body; they are the reason a c o r p s e can live without a heartbeat.
warning is subsided.
Stepping further into this makeshift cage, his armored toes seep into something wet. Mold promptly reaches his nose, and he finds himself wishing the WRO would hurry with their project to rebuild the old capital. If not Geostigma, the Planet would have a new ailment to worry over with all the fungi and pathogens collecting here.
…Though perhaps that is why Reeve sends him and no one else.
…What a dick.
