–Reload.  Okay, kids, time to have the quarter-annual reminder about SOURCING FREAKING ART.  IF IT’S NOT YOURS, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PUT A SOURCE; NOT DOING SO VIOLATES TUMBLR’S RULES AND IS, IN FACT, ILLEGAL.
     So…what is sourcing?  It’s like this:

     And now let’s talk about what sourcing is not:

• Google.  Google is a search engine; it is not a host.  Furthermore, Google only found the image; it did not create it.  Would you put “Google” as a source on a paper?  No.  Then don’t do it for art.
• We Heart It.  We Heart It is also a search engine.  It finds things.  It falls in the “Google” category, as does every other search engine.
• “Art is not mine”.  We fIGURED THAT OUT; GO FIND THE DAMN SOURCE.  Just because you say that it isn’t yours, you still have to say whose it is.
• “Credit to the artist”.  There is this lovely thing called saucenao where you can find that artist.  I would like to know who did something if I like it, so that I can see more of it.

     Oh, but Sennen, I don’t care.  You cared enough to upload it and claim it as yours.  Don’t give me your crap.  But Sennen, I don’t have time.  THE HELL YOU DON’T.  You had time to upload the picture to Tumblr; you can be bothered to upload it to a reverse image search.  You’re only sitting on your butt anyway.
